No stranger to audiences in the South West of England, Edward Leaker is an aspiring star
of the contemporary saxophone. Having gained formal training at the prestigious Royal
Academy of Music and a wealth of performing experience he is always in demand for his smooth style and positive approach. Edward is also leader of the successful ‘Swing Machine Jazz Orchestra’.

The Edward Leaker Band brings together all of these attributes to form an instrumental group that appeals to new and traditional audiences alike.  The band have recently released a new album ‘Portrait’ which will be available at performances. ‘Portrait’ is the culmination of many years playing a diverse range of musical styles and in a variety of musical settings. Edward’s original compositions represent the wide range of influences that are always present in his saxophone playing. The style is rooted in groove with a strong emphasis on melody. The Edward Leaker Band takes the listener on a journey through a kaleidoscope of musical sounds with influences from contemporary smooth jazz, soul and funk.

The band features some of the most dynamic and versatile musicians around, each with national reputations for their work. Their individual skills perfectly complement the music and they each bring a different quality to the group.
